[ANN] Yaboot 1.3.8 Released

Yaboot 1.3.8 is now available.

This release adds support for the new Apple `Windtunnel' and `Xserve'
PowerMacs.  See ChangeLog for a detailed list of changes, or changelog
for the summarized version.

Please note that for ofpath to fully support these new models you must
be running a sufficiently recent Linux kernel, at the time of this
writing (2002-11-28) this is 2.4.20-rc3-ben0 (benh branch), however
the necessary changes will probably be merged into 2.4.21 mainline.
On older kernels ofpath will give a reasonable guess that will work
for the most common case: /dev/hda on the ata-66 bus (ata-100 is not
supported under current kernels).  

Also note that a new kernel is NOT required for ofpath to function on
all existing systems, it will continue to behave as it always has
under current and past kernels, only Windtunnel and Xserve models need
kernel support.

** IMPORTANT NOTE to GNU/Linux distributors:
   If you wish for your distribution to be install-able on these new
   PowerMac models you MUST upgrade your yaboot packages in your
   currently shipping stable distro to 1.3.8, older versions of yaboot
   will result in an UN-bootable system.

It is recommended that all users upgrade to 1.3.8 as ofpath is more
reliable on IDE systems (once you install a kernel with the necessary
modifications).

As always yaboot releases are signed with GnuPG, it is highly
recommended you verify this signature (detached ascii .sig file).
