RE: Install question YDL/yaboot

I need some pointing to a yaboot resource. I tried installing YDL on a
Blue/white G3. I've tried on both an IDE and SCSI hard drive. Both installs
proceeed without incident, but the machine will not boot to the yaboot menu
system. All I get is the flashing apple questionmark.
 
I have reset the PRAM.
I have fully formatted both drives.
I have booted using cntl-opena-o-f and looked at the "printenv" variables.
What should be different after a successul install of YDL and yaboot, i.e.,
what should the boot path be?
 
With the IDE drive I got this:
/pci@80000000/pci-bridge@d/pci-ata@1/@0/disk@0.1, \\:tbxi
 
I guess I need some overview of how yabot and open firmware work together to
boot up properly.
