can't Yaboot - Mandrake 10.1

I have a Macintosh Server G4 Model# M5183.

I am trying to install Mandrake 10.1 ppc, but all I get is the message:
"booting mandrakelinux ppc..."
it seems to go into a loop the screen dims out and then goes right back to the
same message.

My question is does anyone think this is a yaboot issue or open firmware or ybin
..maybe something I have not configured correctly?

I am sorry if it is unrelated to Yaboot, but this list seems like the best
option for me to get help or guidance.

PS: I have also tried my Mandrake 9.1 ppc disk ...that is why I think it is a
configuration I have missed.
