in all likelyhood the nvram was never updated, or the nvram has been
reset, therefore OF will default to booting "hd:" which is sda, which is OSX.

you can also try holding the option key down at boottime, OF will
eventually display a boot chooser (on AGP G4 or later hardware), one
of the options should have a small penguin icon, this would be yaboot.
